| We were so excited to see a mailbox! That meant moving in was so soon! |
At the end of June my college roommates, Lacey, Erin and her husband Brian, came to see the house and hang out for a weekend before Brian & Erin moved to California! It was a fun weekend hanging out and one night we took them out to Perini's to experience a great Abilene steak. Therefore, a picture with the giant armadillo was a must!
For the 4th of July we went to Amarillo to spend it with family at Grandpa & Grandma's house. It was fun going to the parade that went through Canyon and watching the fireworks that night in the park. Annalee enjoyed watching the parade but was worn out after and crashed in her stroller while we shopped the square. She stayed awake to watch all of the fireworks that night though...she loves them like her momma! She also loved playing outside at their house and even tried feeding the goats with Grandpa.

Next up was our annual trip to the Frio River with my family. The river was low again this year so we did not get to float but it was perfect for Annalee and all the little kids. Dallas would take her to the top of a little rapid and she would float all the way down smiling until someone caught her. She is definitely a water baby!
She loves having her daddy home to play during the summers!
At the end of July we went to a Rangers game. This was the kids gift to Kerr for Father's day and the first date that worked out for everyone to go. We went to the George Bush library before the game and Dallas enjoyed being President for 30 seconds. I'm pretty sure it was the hottest baseball game I have ever been to...there was no breeze! We had great seats though and it was a great game to be there until the end!
In August my friends from Katy, Nessa & Tamara, came to visit and see the house/Abilene. I was so glad they came & apprecaited them making the forever long drive to come see us!
After they left Dallas surprised me with a trip to Ft. Worth before school started. It was much needed quality time before football season started for him. We stayed at the Omni downtown and enjoyed a delicious dinnner at Del Frisco's on Saturday night. It was a very relaxing weekend but we sure did miss that sweet girl talking up a storm in the background!
