April is already gone?

April flew by so quick and it seems like Annalee is changing just as quick! Since my last post she is now rolling over, sleeping on her tummy, getting a hang of eating food (I already see her being a picky eater like her Dad), I believe she is teething, got her first cold, getting really good using her hands and today found her feet! Her joyful personality is coming out more and more each day.

Here recently she has been showing off her chubby little self in cute bathing suits at Aunt Amy's pool.  We are taking advantage of the nice weather because before long it will be way to hot to even sit outside and the pool will feel like a hot bath.

A few weekends ago Dallas & Addison put in a sprinkler system at our house.  They worked from Friday night until Sunday afternoon and I don't think Dallas has been more excited about a home improvement project.  It has been so nice having it and our flowers are doing a lot better too! :)

Admiring their work
Dallas' school recently had a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Dallas told his kids if they brought over $1200 then he would shave his head.  He almost put if they brought over $2500 he would wear a dress to school....thank goodness he didn't because they raised $2600!  The whole school raised over $20,000, which is amazing.  I went up to the school to watch Dallas shave his head in front of all his kids.  The clippers would not cooperate at the beginning but a few kids stuck around and he let them shave some of it.  I love watching him interact with his kids.  You can definitely tell he has a passion for his job and the kids truly love him as their teacher.

4 months

My sweet 4 month old

On the way to College Station we stopped to take pictures in the bluebonnets.  It was a little hard getting good pictures of just her this year but we decided next year she will be the perfect age to run through them!

Easter was at Misty's house this year and it was full of yummy food and desserts, an easter egg hunt, Jency's birthday, the boys blowing stuff up in the tank and sweet family time.  Annalee slept through most of the festivities.  In just a few years though she will be out there running around with them.

Jency girl would rather just eat the candy!
Annalee update: we have started the mess of introducing rice cereal & some fruits.  So far she still doesn't quite know if she likes it or not. And she has started giggling...it is the cutest little giggle ever! I love it!

March in Pictures

At the beginning of March I went to Disneyland in California for the annual Dolphin meeting (last year we went to Atlanta) for work. It was a lot of fun and a lot of walking! Both parks were connected by downtown Disney to our hotel so everything was within walking distance, it was very convienent.  A few pictures from our trip:
We were the first ones in line so we got to open the park on Friday morning.

This was always my favorite ride as a kid....I still love to swing!

I also loved Minnie Mouse when I was little so what better than a Minnie Mouse carmel/chocolate covered apple. :)

The Monday after the trip was Dallas's spring break so Hunter & Shelby came to stay with us and we went to the Houston Rodeo to see the Zac Brown Band.  I think I'm starting to like the rodeo part more than the concert part.  Zac Brown always puts on a great concert though.  That Wednesday I ended up getting sick but luckily Dallas was on spring break so he got to take care of Annalee for 4 days.  By take care of I mean watch March Madness all day and occasionally feed her.  Annalee has already seen a LOT of basketball in her 4 months.  That Sunday when I was feeling a little better we took Annalee outside for a photo shoot...if you haven't noticed already she is going to have a million pictures of her by the time she's 5.

Being a model is rough on a girl. She was out within 5 minutes of bringing her inside.

The next weekend we headed to Abilene for Abe & Courtney's first shower.  It was perfect weather for an outdoor shower and the decorations looked awesome.  We love being in Abilene and around family...only if the drive wasn't so long!

At the shower...Annalee had a little attitude that night.

She was wiped out by the end of the weekend.
On the Sunday we were there Dallas & Kerr went to an Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat basketball game. Dallas loved the town and the arena!

Today we have been working all day on the yard/flower beds and still are not finished but a lot of progress was made! We are very fortunate Annalee is such a great baby and just sat out there laughing at the tree?! So keeping flowers alive is definitely not my thing but hopefully this year I can succeed! :)

So Annalee really likes looking to the left only.  We have tried working with her turning her head to the right as often as we can.  Well ths is what happens when she refues to turn to the right and wants to see momma. Haha!

And to end with...could these 2 look more alike?

Coming up...Annalee turns 4 months and her first Easter!

Our Gracious Promise

Time flies! I can't believe our sweet girl is already 3 months old! She has been such a joy and is changing every day. She started smiling and cooing at us around 2 months old. Now she really likes to talk and tell us all about it (I can't get my videos to upload or I would post it). She recently has found her reflection and talks to herself and is starting to swing at her toys on her play mat. She also has developed a little attitude and we think it's hilarious (for now)! She is quite the snuggle bug and loves sleeping on her daddy's chest. She not only got Dallas's looks but also his sleeping habits. She can sleep through anything! She has been to many basketball games and sleeps right through buzzers and cheering. Only if I could sleep like that! Here's how she's changed in just 3 quick months:

We had her baby dedication this past weekend at our church, Kingsland Baptist.  It was a very sweet little ceremony and we were excited that family was there to share it with us.  We found out that her name means "Gracious Promise".  We loved that!

She looked right at the pastor like she understood everything he was telling her.

This was the picture I submitted to be shown as she was dedicated - it got quite a few giggles out of the audience.

Annalee and I have been going scouting with Dallas for the Seven Lakes varsity basketball team. Dallas recently took his high school certification test and passed so we are hoping that next year he will be teaching and coaching at a high school around here.

This last picture was just too funny to leave out.  She also loves taking baths! She would probably sit in there for an hour if we would let her.  I love her silly faces.
